Sean Kelly set up Music for Peace in 2002
with the aim of helping people feel peace through music. Sean
has travelled to many parts of the world to play music for peace
- including : Assisi - Italy, Medgourje - Bosnia, Mostar - Bosnia,
Ground Zero - New York, Machu-Pichu - Peru, Life Foundation Conference
2002 Scotland where Sean piped the Chieftain of the McCauley Clan
into the opening ceremony. Sean also performed at and organised
an International Peace Concert in Dublin, Ireland in 2002 where
representatives from 12 of the worlds religions gathered with
musicians and many others to create an afternoon of peace through
music, meditation and prayer. One of the performers on the day
was James Twyman, world renonwed peace troubadour and author.
With the help of schools Sean has created the Irish Childrens
Cloth of Many Colours, a symbol of the childrens desires for peace
in the world.
